Cultural CentreArts, Heritage, & NatureThe Minden Hills Cultural Centre is a 4 acre area in downtown Minden that houses the Agnes Jamieson Gallery, the Minden Hills Museum, Nature's Place and the Minden Hills Branch of the Haliburton County Public Library . The Agnes Jamieson Gallery is a public art gallery offering visual art exhibitions year-round. Lawrence's life and books are displayed through changing exhibitions. Nature's Place holds the estate of Ron Douglas Lawrence, a well-recognized Canadian naturalist and wildlife author. Feature exhibits are located in the Sterling Bank Building- Minden's first bank. It consists of seven structures, five of which are original local heritage buildings that have been relocated to the museum grounds. Minden Hills Museum & Pioneer Village reflects pioneer life in the mid to late 19th Century. The gallery's collection consists primarily of artwork by Andre Lapine. The Centre grounds also offer a labyrinth, gift shops, walking trails and tours.The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is owned and operated by the Township of Minden Hills.
